I found this course really interesting and informative. It includes clear explanations of what intersectionality, diversity and inclusion are, what they mean for the GLAM sector, and why such issues are important, as well as practical steps that organisations can take. The glossary of key terms and definitions was very helpful. The course also got me thinking about my own privilege, particularly through the quiz.

I took this course as I wanted to learn more about Diversity, Inclusion and Intersectionality (especially the intersectional aspect as it isn’t normally include in this type of training, despite its importance). – It definitely delivered with concise, yet informative chapters and an extensive glossary of terms. I really liked in the glossary section that it said that it would be updated if terms changed over time. It shows real understanding of the fact that we should use terms that people from that diversity feel comfortable with

I started this course because I wanted to learn, I am ashamed to say, what is Intersectional. This course is a clear and fantastic introduction to what intersectionality, diversity and inclusion are and how this relates in the world but also in the GLAM sectors. As mentioned by previous reviews the glossary section is brilliant and the quizzes are great to review and reflect on what you have learnt. As a professional in the GLAM sector for 12 years, I have never come across this type training before and implore others to do this course to help make GLAM spaces as welcoming as possible.

The course is well-structured and provides a comprehensive overview of the topic whilst at the same time proactively highlighting areas for improvement within the sector. This course is an ideal and necessary starting point for all GLAM professionals to develop their awareness and ability to be a better ally.
